Welcome!Whoever you are,
Wherever you come from, Whomever you love, Whatever you believe about life and love, Whichever spiritual path you travel, You are welcome here, and there is room for you in Unitarian Universalism. Unitarian Universalism is a covenantal faith, rather than a creedal faith. Which means, we gather together, not around specific beliefs, but because of how we want to be in the world together. Together we strive to create the Beloved Community, here on earth, where all people, cultures, and life can live at peace, surrounded by acceptance, compassion, and love. We believe that how we choose to live in the world is more important than what we believe about the world. In Unitarian Universalist congregations and covenanting communities, we respect and honor the interdependent web of all life and the inherent worth and dignity of every person. Our sanctuaries are filled with a diversity of people. There are those who believe in God or higher powers, those who do not, and everyone in between, and beyond. In Unitarian Universalist congregations, religious ideas, words, and stories carry many meanings and metaphors. These are always growing and changing, just like each one of us. Welcome! I am glad you are here! NOTE: This website is under construction. *Please note: the tagline of this website is from the words of Miller Williams. More information is here. |
Have compassion for everyone you meet, even if they don't want it. What seems conceit, bad manners, or cynicism is always a sign of things no ears have heard, no eyes have seen. You do not know what wars are going on down there where the spirit meets the bone.
